Grilled Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Crema

The avocado crema on these grilled shrimp tacos adds a lot of flavor and makes them a quick and easy meal. When you mix the juicy grilled shrimp with the creamy avocado crema and fresh toppings, you get a taco that will make your mouth water.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 avocado, ripe
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • Optional toppings: salsa, hot sauce, sliced jalapenos

Instructions:

Warm the grill up to a medium-high level

Mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper with olive oil in a bowl

Toss the shrimp until they are well covered

Put shrimp that has been seasoned on skewers

Grill the shrimp skewers for two to three minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and pink

Make the avocado crema at the same time: Put avocado, sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, and salt to taste into a blender

Mix until its creamy and smooth

Put tortillas on the grill and heat them up for 30 seconds on each side
