Potato Gnocchi

Potato gnocchi made at home are light, fluffy, and tasty. With this recipe, you can make potato pillows that are soft and melt in your mouth. Just right for a cozy dinner at home

Ingredients:

  • 500g potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • Nutmeg, a pinch

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, egg, salt, and nutmeg

Gradually add flour and knead until a smooth dough forms

Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a long rope, about 1 inch thick

Cut the ropes into bite-sized pieces

Press each gnocchi with a fork to create ridges

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

Drop the gnocchi into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes

Remove cooked gnocchi with a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving dish

Serve hot with your favorite sauce and toppings
