Ingredients:
- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
Add the green beans and cook until crisp-tender, about 4-5 minutes
Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process
Drain again and set aside
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat
Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant
Add the sliced almonds and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly toasted
Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic and almond mixture
Season with salt and pepper
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the green beans are heated through
Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges
