DTF Plantation

This holiday ham recipe features a delicious citrus glaze that adds a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess to the tender ham. Its a festive centerpiece for any holiday meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 spiral-cut ham about 8-10 pounds
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 325F 160C

Place the ham in a roasting pan, flat side down

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, orange juice, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cloves, and cinnamon

Bring the glaze mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the glaze is slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes

Brush half of the glaze over the ham, making sure to get into the cuts of the spiral slices

Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour

Remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham

Continue baking uncovered for another 30-45 minutes, or until the ham is heated through and the glaze is caramelized

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving
