Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season both sides with salt and pepper
Cook the bacon slices until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels
Place the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare burgers
Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt the cheese
While the burgers are cooking, split the hamburger buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create the sauce
To assemble the burgers, spread the sauce on the bottom half of each bun
Top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of bacon, and some sliced onions
Finish with the top bun
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Bacon Cheeseburger
