Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch pie crust, baked and cooled
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish optional
Instructions:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and unsalted butter
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined
Pour the chocolate mixture into the baked and cooled pie crust
Smooth the top with a spatula
Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until set
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form
Spread the whipped cream over the chilled chocolate pie
Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired
Slice and serve chilled
